Christmas

This year we had a very quiet Christmas. We didn't even have company over! Our dinner was delicious. But of course the best part was the presents! My gifts were awesome. One example is my new Apple laptop- an iBook G4. Or my $50 Best Buy gift card with not only an awesome care MADE by my sister Dawn but also a $15 iTunes gift card-all from Dawn. The shocking thing was that I actually had a "White Christmas". Therefore as I said before I was able to dig tunnels. Sadly, it still isn't as good as Alaska!

'Trick 'R' Treat'

I realize that halloween was almost three months ago but I never posted this: my nephew had a great halloween. Once he figured out the fact that he got candy if he said 'trick 'r' treat' he practically thought that there was nothing better. At first we couldn't get him to say it but when he finally did it was hilarious!(The costume is of a dog)!

Kiah in Oklahoma

As I said before Kiah really enjoys having snow and all of my tunnels. She has never seen real snow before this because she is only about two years old. One time when I was in the first tunnel that I dug instead of backing out like she had been doing she just had to turn around in my face. Of course it was very close quarters in there so snow was all over my face. This picture is after the snow has melted considerably and is of a tunnel that was only partially dug. I sure miss the snow in Alaska this snow can't really form a snow man!

Oklahoma "winter"

Shockingly enough, a couple of days ago it actually snowed in Oklahoma! Well actually it didn't really snow because it was for one the wind was blowing so hard that it was sort of a blizzard - so hard in fact that it blew the grill not only off the porch but it was lying on it's top on the ground. It also lost one of the doors (it was never found. Also the "snow" was more like tiny ice crystals.
The "snow" was so deep in the back yard (only) that I was literally tunneling in it. Kiah sure loved it!

Home Again, Home Again

Obviously I am back in Alaska. I have been here for about two days. When I first got here I of course saw grandma for a few hours then my sisters picked me up and took me to their house. There, I was able to see Owen which was definetely fun. Dawn (one of my sisters) bought Rockband (or Guitar Hero I'm not sure) Beattles version. We got the very same game for my dad for his birthday therefore I have a fair amount of practice. Still I'm not very good! My grandma was aloud to go home yesterday so we brought her home. The doctor said that if a couple pills that they gave her did not work for pain that she may have did not work than we needed to bring her back to the hospital immediately but if the pills did work she was completely fine.

The Endless Journey

My grandma had a heart attack so were heading to Alaska to see her. Along the way we cannot board our plane because it was delayed an hour. We thought that it was slightly annoying but we had a four hour layover in Salt Lake City so we didn't worry that much. Then, when we finally boarded the plane we tookoff and hit a flock of birds. Currently I am in Salt Lake but can't wait to board the plane out of here. Since our plane was so late yesterday we missed our connection flight here so the airport gave us a room at Red Lion hotel. It was fairly nice. We got up at about 4:10a.m. in order to get onto the shuttle from the hotel at 5:00a.m. Now that we've finally gotten to the aiport we are waiting for the restaurants to open. I sure hope this plane doesn't hit birds!

Cold, in Oklahoma?

I realize that I posted about it being cold here but I ca t believe how "cold" it's gotten. Today I think that it got down to 40 degrees this morning. Of course many people here call that cold but back in Aaska where I lived we called -10 degrees cold definetely not 40 degrees. It sure is nice to have fairly warm weather all year!
